Overview of Telecommunications Engineering Department.

Telecommunication Engineering Programme at NED University of Engineering and Technology started in February 2003. the Programme was formerly managed by Electrical Engineering Department. It remained under administration of Electronic Engineering Department from July 2007 to June 2021. In June 2021 University decided to establish an independent Department for Telecommunications Engineering.

At Undergraduate level the Department offers Bachelors of Engineering in Telecommunications. At Postgraduate level it offers Masters of Engineering Degree in Telecommunications under two specializations namely RF Engineering and Telecommunication Networks.The Department also offers Masters of science weekend programme in Telecommunication Systems

The Faculty at Telecommunication Engineering Department is actively involved in research activities and currently there are 10+ students enrolled in PHD programme under supervision of Telecommunications Faculty.

Departmental Orientation

PEC Accreditation Status Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has approved Re-accriditation of BE (Telecommunications programme) B.E. Telecommunications from Intake of Batch 2020 To Batch 2023.

M.Engg HEC NOC Status NOC is not required for the programme as it started before 7th November 2013
